About the position

At Hackensack Meridian Health, we believe that our team members are the heart of what makes us better. Our NSPIRE program is designed specifically for newly graduated nurses from accredited institutions, providing a unique opportunity to complete a twelve-week practice immersion curriculum before transitioning into a twelve-month nurse residency program. This pre-NCLEX position allows Nurse Apprentices to engage in clinical immersions, shadow experienced nurses, and gain exposure to the clinical environments where they will work as Registered Nurses after successfully passing the NCLEX exam. During this structured program, Nurse Apprentices will be immersed in an environment that emphasizes observation and skill development, allowing them to practice selected nursing skills and build confidence in an acute care setting. Although patient interaction will be limited, the program is designed to prepare Nurse Apprentices for their future roles by providing a variety of immersion opportunities to perform competency-based skills. The program also includes learning about the Nursing Strategic Plan and Quality Outcome drivers that impact patient care, attending skill labs and simulation labs, and participating in hospital-wide committee meetings to reflect on their experiences. The NSPIRE program is not just about clinical skills; it is about fostering a culture of connection and collaboration among team members. We are committed to supporting one another and showing up for our community, all while advancing our mission to transform healthcare and serve as a leader of positive change. This role is an excellent opportunity for new nurses to gain valuable experience and prepare for a successful nursing career at Hackensack Meridian Health.
