About the position

The Nuclear Medicine Technologist at Cooper University Health Care is responsible for performing and processing Nuclear Medicine exams, including general scans and Nuclear Cardiology studies. This role emphasizes quality control of equipment, safe handling of radiopharmaceuticals, and compliance with safety regulations. The position requires availability for after-hour emergencies, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

  • Acquisition and processing of all Nuclear Medicine exams, including general NM scans and Nuclear Cardiology studies.
  • Quality control of all Nuclear Medicine equipment.
  • Safe handling of all diagnostic radiopharmaceuticals.
  • Safe handling of all therapeutic radiopharmaceuticals.
  • Availability for weekday, weekend, and holiday call for after-hour emergencies.
  • Compliance with NRC and NJDEP regulations regarding radiation safety.

Requirements

  • Completion of clinical training through NM training program or college requirements.
  • Graduate of an AMA approved program in Nuclear Medicine.
  • Current BLS certification.
  • Current ARRT - American Registry Radiology Tech License or Current CNMT - Certified Nuclear Medical Tech License.
  • Current NJ-NUCMED - NJ Nuclear Med Tech License.
