About the position

System One is seeking skilled Nuclear Design Modification Engineers to support the development of design modification packages for an existing power generation facility. This is a two-year, onsite contract role based in Columbia, AL, requiring expertise in Mechanical, Electrical I&C, or Structural/Civil disciplines, with a focus on commercial nuclear design modifications.

Responsibilities

• Design and analysis of changes to existing power plants as well as new plant systems.
• Perform calculations, develop isometrics, and provide design recommendations, specifications, and design change packages.

Requirements

• BS in Mechanical, Electrical or Civil/Structural Engineering from ABET accredited university required.
• Minimum of 3 years commercial nuclear design modification experience, developing design modification packages, including calcs, specs, and analysis.
• Recent experience working under design standard IP-ENG-001.
• Strong computer knowledge of Microsoft Office, and CAD Software.
• Candidates must be legally authorized to work permanently in the U.S. (i.e. without the need for work sponsorship now or in the future).
