About the position

The Nuclear Medicine Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the nuclear medicine department, ensuring compliance with state regulations and licensure requirements, and leading quality assurance initiatives. This role requires a strong background in nuclear medicine technology, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with physicians and vendors to enhance departmental operations and education.

Responsibilities

  • Works with consulting physicians on a quarterly basis to maintain compliance with state regulations and licensure requirements.
  • Attends and participates in quarterly radiation safety committee meetings.
  • Participates in the Nuclear Medicine Capital Equipment budget process and evaluates equipment on approved items.
  • Leads the Nuclear Cardiology QA team and organizes meetings for reporting data with cardiologists.
  • Works with vendors to provide at least one ARRT-approved continuing education program annually.
  • Actively participates in the development of a service-oriented Nuclear Medicine operational budget.

Requirements

  • High School Graduate and successful completion of Nuclear Medicine Program.
  • Minimum one year full-time experience in clinical nuclear medicine technology.
  • Knowledgeable in all phases of nuclear medicine exams for all patient categories.
  • Knowledgeable in radiation safety measures.
  • Certified in B.C.L.S.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Good eyesight and manual dexterity, able to perform under pressure.
