About the position
Join our Woodlawn Team as a Nuclear Medicine Tech (CNMT) on a PRN basis, where you will play a crucial role in providing excellent healthcare services through skilled nuclear medicine procedures. This position emphasizes compassionate care and adherence to core values such as courtesy, respect, and professionalism.
Responsibilities
- Assists in the supervision of and participates in a variety of nuclear medicine procedures.
- Calculates results and maintains, reviews, and applies associated computer programs.
- Maintains the Nuclear Medicine department according to Local, State, and Federal Laws pertaining to radioactive materials.
- Prepares and supervises the administration of radiopharmaceuticals to patients.
- Develops, recommends, and implements new procedures, protocols, guidelines, and techniques to improve patient care and customer satisfaction.
- Prepares and operates equipment and positions patients correctly to provide requested diagnostic images for interpretation.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Registered with the American Registry of Radiological Technologist (ARRT) (N) or Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) through the Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification Board (NMTCB).
- Required Licensure with the State of Indiana.
- Basic Life Support certification required within 90 days of hire.
- Minimum of two years experience performing Nuclear Medicine procedures in a hospital environment preferred.
