About the position
The Nuclear Medicine Technician at Medical City Dallas plays a crucial role in performing radiographic procedures under the guidance of a Nuclear Medicine Physician. This position requires a high level of independent judgment and technical skill to apply isotopes for diagnostic purposes, ensuring patient safety and care.
Responsibilities
- Perform general radiographic procedures for in-patients and out-patients.
- Utilize various Nuclear Medicine cameras and equipment for diagnostic imaging.
- Administer pharmaceuticals and radiopharmaceuticals as per the Nuclear Medicine Scope of Practice.
- Demonstrate expertise in radiation safety protocols.
- Work collaboratively with a team of healthcare professionals to ensure quality patient care.
Requirements
- Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMTCB) or Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMT).
- MRT State of Texas certification.
- ARRT(NM) or NMTCB Certification required.
- Current AHA or ARC BLS provider certification.
- NMTCB PET Certification preferred.
