About the position

The Nuclear Medicine Technologist will play a crucial role in the healthcare team by performing nuclear medicine procedures and interpreting the results to aid in patient diagnosis and treatment. This position requires a blend of technical skills, patient interaction, and adherence to safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and administer radioactive drugs to patients for imaging procedures
• Operate imaging equipment to obtain clear and accurate images of organs and tissues
• Analyze images to ensure quality and make necessary adjustments
• Collaborate with physicians to determine appropriate imaging procedures
• Assist with patient preparation and positioning during procedures
• Maintain accurate records of procedures and patient information
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols and regulations

Requirements

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in nuclear medicine technology or related field
• Certification from the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB)
• Current state licensure as a nuclear medicine technologist
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
