About the position

The position involves preparing patients for procedures and assuming responsibility for their needs during these procedures. The individual will perform all nuclear medicine procedures with accuracy and thoroughness in a timely manner, adhering to the protocols outlined in the department procedure manual. This is done upon the order of a licensed independent practitioner for diagnostic interpretation by a radiologist.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare patients for nuclear medicine procedures.
  • Assume responsibility for patient needs during procedures.
  • Perform nuclear medicine procedures accurately and thoroughly.
  • Adhere to protocols outlined in the department procedure manual.
  • Work under the order of a licensed independent practitioner for diagnostic interpretation.

Requirements

  • Completion of Nuclear Medicine Technology - Required
  • BLS Basic Life Support - American Heart Association - Required
  • CNMT Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist - NMTCB - Required
  • ARRT certification in Nuclear Medicine Technology - Required
  • CTNM-Certified Technologist Nuclear Medicine Certificate (California State License) - Required
  • Online state license verification from California RHB - Required

Nice-to-haves

  • Medical Imaging - Nuclear Medicine - Preferred
  • NMTCB (CT) - Preferred
  • ARRT (CT) - Preferred

Benefits

  • Hourly pay range of $77.14 - $115.71 based on experience and licensure.
