About the position
The Nuclear Medicine Technologist at UVM Medical Center plays a crucial role in providing patient-centered care through clinical and research nuclear medicine testing and therapeutic procedures. This position involves performing various studies, contributing to policy development, and providing clinical instruction to students and staff. The role emphasizes teamwork and collaboration within a supportive environment, utilizing state-of-the-art equipment to deliver high-quality diagnostic and therapeutic services.
Responsibilities
- Perform clinical and research nuclear medicine testing and therapeutic procedures including general and cardiac studies.
- Conduct clinical instruction for nuclear medicine students and other personnel as needed.
- Contribute to the development of policies, procedures, standards, and objectives for Nuclear Medicine services.
- Ensure quality assurance needs are met for the provision of Nuclear Medicine services.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited program in Nuclear Medicine.
- Associates or Baccalaureate Degree in Nuclear Medicine is required.
- Licensed by either the ARRT or CNMT in the State of Vermont.
- Twelve months of clinical experience in Nuclear Medicine is preferred, but new graduates are welcome.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with state-of-the-art nuclear medicine equipment such as PET/CT and SPECT/CT scanners.
