About the position

The Nuclear Medicine Technologist at HCA Houston Healthcare North Cypress is responsible for performing nuclear medicine imaging and therapeutic procedures under the guidance of a Radiologist. This role involves working with both in-patients and out-patients, utilizing various nuclear medicine cameras and equipment to ensure high-quality patient care. The technologist will also manage radioactive materials, maintain safety protocols, and participate in emergency on-call duties as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform all nuclear medicine imaging and therapeutic procedures.
• Receive radioactive materials and prepare radioactive material doses while maintaining radiation records.
• Perform tasks in the hot lab area as required.
• Utilize established radiation safety techniques and equipment.
• Handle scheduling, charging exams, and related administrative duties.
• Take emergency after-hours call on a rotating basis.

Requirements

• Graduate of an AMA accredited nuclear school of medicine or an accredited school of radiologic technology.
• Current license with the State of Texas, ARRT and/or NMTCB license.
• American Heart Association BLS certification.
• 1 year of previous experience in a hospital environment is preferred.
