About the position

The Nuclear Medicine Technologist at Avera McKennan Hospital performs both basic and complex nuclear medicine procedures for inpatient and outpatient care. Responsibilities

• Perform basic and complex in vivo and in vitro nuclear medicine procedures for inpatients and outpatients.
• Support the function of nuclear medicine scans for the diagnosis and treatment of various diseases.
• Participate in Theranostic Treatment as part of a growing field.
• Complete required training and certifications to maintain licensure and competency.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
• Successful completion of a formal Nuclear Medicine Technology training program is required.
• Certification as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist is required.
• Valid driver's license and insurable by Avera Health automobile liability insurance carrier.
• Completion of Child Abuse & Dependent Adult Abuse courses for Iowa Mandatory Reporters within 90 days of employment and every 3 years thereafter.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in nuclear medicine procedures is preferred but not mandatory.
• Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team environment.
