About the position

ACS Professional Staffing is seeking a Nuclear Project Coordinator to work on-site with our client in Richland, Washington. This full-time position is crucial for coordinating project teams and ensuring the successful completion of various projects within the nuclear energy sector. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background and experience in project management, enabling them to effectively oversee project activities and deliver results that meet client expectations. In this role, the Nuclear Project Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating project teams of one to five individuals. This includes planning, scheduling, and controlling project and program activities to ensure that all projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the satisfaction of the client. The coordinator will act as a specialist for specific projects, maintaining a detailed knowledge of all aspects of the projects and monitoring their progress. They will also be tasked with developing budgetary estimates and recommending changes to improve operating efficiency based on project monitoring. The position requires excellent communication skills to effectively convey project progress to stakeholders and to identify and mitigate project risks. The successful candidate will be expected to maintain a knowledge base of new developments and technology in the nuclear energy field, ensuring that the project teams are informed and equipped to handle the challenges that may arise during project execution.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate project teams of one to five people, including planning, scheduling, and control of project and program activities
  • Act as a specialist for specific projects with detailed knowledge of all aspects of the projects
  • Maintain a knowledge base of new developments and technology
  • Monitor projects and recommend changes to improve operating efficiency
  • Develop budgetary estimates

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field
  • 1+ years of experience in project management
  • Strong technical background in nuclear energy
  • Experience in coordinating project teams
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Must have the right to work in the United States
  • PMP certification preferred
