About the position

The Nurse Account Manager is responsible for leading a team of nurse account managers to achieve business goals through client retention, sales growth, and strong customer relationships. This role involves providing clinical assistance, regulatory support, and education to clients in Skilled Nursing and Assisted Living Facilities, while ensuring superior delivery of pharmacy services. The position requires effective communication and collaboration with both clients and internal teams to enhance medication management solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee training and orientation for customers during facility implementation, ensuring error-free service transitions.
  • Develop and conduct training materials for facilities and staff to support clinical programs and compliance with regulations.
  • Monitor service levels during site visits and report any service issues.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare and pharmacy industry standards and regulations.
  • Assist customers with action plans to minimize risks in facilities.
  • Plan and execute family communication programs in conjunction with the marketing team.
  • Recruit, hire, and onboard new staff, ensuring effective integration into the team.
  • Oversee scheduling and assignment of Nurse Account Managers to ensure regular customer attention.
  • Conduct annual performance reviews and monitor staff performance, providing guidance and support.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Sales and Marketing to execute annual sales plans.

Requirements

  • Nursing Degree (RN) required; LPN with relevant experience may be considered.
  • Active State Nursing license required.
  • 5+ years of related experience in long-term care pharmacy or institutional patient care setting preferred.
  • Previous team management experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
  • Advanced computer skills, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint required.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with minimal direction.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in work.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in long-term care pharmacy and/or institutional patient care setting.
  • Previous experience with team management in a healthcare setting.
