About the position

The Nurse Assistant at KU MedWest Ambulatory Surgery Center is a full-time role focused on providing exceptional patient care in a fast-paced, multi-specialty outpatient surgical environment. The position requires a motivated and dependable individual who can work collaboratively with a team to meet patient needs and achieve facility goals. The role involves working day shifts from Monday to Friday, with no weekends or holidays, in a supportive and professional atmosphere.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care to meet identified patient outcomes.
• Perform duties in the peri-operative setting according to the facility's scope of practice.
• Take vital signs and conduct point-of-care testing.
• Escort patients throughout the facility.
• Order and stock supplies as needed.
• Perform data entry and documentation tasks.
• Make phone calls and assist nursing staff with assigned duties.

Requirements

• Valid CNA license.
• Current BLS certification.
• A minimum of 2 years of CNA experience preferred.
• Experience in a fast-paced outpatient setting or ambulatory surgery preferred.
