Responsibilities
- Serve as the Pulmonary Lung Nodule Tracker and Clinical Nurse for Pulmonary Disease Services.
- Plan, coordinate, and deliver healthcare to pulmonary patients and their families.
- Counsel and educate patients and families regarding lung cancer risks and clinical interventions.
- Participate in discharge planning and research activities.
- Facilitate communication and coordinate medical services among healthcare team members.
- Monitor and coordinate care for lung nodule patients throughout the healthcare system.
- Manage the pulmonary nodule tracking database and ensure data quality.
- Screen patients for clinical trials and assist with emotional support and education.
- Provide advanced nursing care to critically ill patients undergoing pulmonary procedures.
- Administer medications and perform life-saving measures as needed.
Requirements
- Current, active, unrestricted Registered Nurse license in at least one US state.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification is highly desirable.
- Ability to work alternate shifts and pass a Child Background Check.
- Mandatory seasonal influenza vaccination requirement.
