About the position

This position is located at Dwight D. Eisenhower Army Medical Center at Fort Eisenhower, Georgia. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation. Salary negotiation is not available for those candidates who are new to Federal service.

Responsibilities

• Perform independent, comprehensive telephone and clinical triaging and facilitates care coordination through a multidisciplinary approach.
• Assist clinic with patient and staff education.
• Prepare and administer oral, subcutaneous, intra-muscular and intravenous medications.
• Assist health care providers with examinations and procedures.
• Participate in clinic meetings and performance improvement activities as assigned.

Requirements

• Degree: A graduate or higher level degree, bachelor's degree, associate degree, or diploma from an accredited professional nursing educational program is required.
• Licensure: A current, active, full, and unrestricted license or registration as a professional nurse from a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Red Cross.
• Immunization screening is required. Hepatitis B immunization is required for all positions with direct patient contact.
• A pre-placement medical examination is required.
• This position may require the incumbent to work weekends and/or holidays.
• Selectees will be required to consent to participation in random drug urinalysis testing.
