This position functions in a leadership role, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team as a direct care provider and clinical expert. The role involves developing and implementing practice guidelines, participating as an active and integral member of the clinical pathway team, and maintaining established standards of care and practice through staff development, clinical improvement activities, and patient/staff education. The ideal candidate will be committed to enhancing the quality of care provided to patients and will play a crucial role in the ongoing development of nursing practices within the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Function in a leadership role within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Collaborate as a direct care provider and clinical expert.
  • Develop and implement practice guidelines for nursing care.
  • Participate as an active member of the clinical pathway team.
  • Maintain established standards of care and practice through staff development.
  • Engage in clinical improvement activities to enhance patient care.
  • Provide education to both patients and staff regarding nursing practices.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing.
  • Two (2) years of recent clinical experience as a Registered Nurse in the assigned area of nursing.
  • Current, unrestricted license as a Registered Professional Nurse in the state of Georgia.
  • Must hold American Heart Association BLS Certification.

Nice-to-haves

  • National Certification in Clinical Specialty.
