About the position

The Nurse Educator for PACE/Elderplace at Providence is responsible for providing expertise and serving as a role model, consultant, and educator to staff and leaders within the organization. This hybrid position involves both remote work and travel to various sites, focusing on developing a comprehensive staff development program that aligns with the Providence Mission and PACE philosophy. The role aims to enhance care and services through effective onboarding and ongoing learning opportunities for staff, ultimately transforming the lives of the elderly served by the organization.

Responsibilities

• Provide expertise and serve as a role model, consultant, and educator to Providence PACE and Housing staff and leaders.
• Develop a staff development program based on the Providence Mission and PACE philosophy.
• Support Core Leaders and staff to enhance care and services through robust onboarding processes.
• Facilitate ongoing learning opportunities for staff.
• Promote team concepts and reflect the core values of Providence Health & Services.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
• Washington Registered Nurse License upon hire
• National Provider BLS certification within 30 days of hire
• 3 years of experience in inpatient, home health, hospice, or long-term care
• 1 year of experience in nursing or healthcare education and curriculum development using various adult teaching methods
• Experience in clinical review and audit activities
• Experience in infection control activities (identification, surveillance, investigation, and prevention)

Nice-to-haves

• 1 year of experience with Electronic Medical Records (EPIC)
