About the position

The Nurse Educator at AdventHealth is responsible for addressing the educational and developmental needs of nursing staff, ensuring they possess the necessary knowledge and skills to deliver high-quality care to patients and their families. This role involves collaboration with various healthcare professionals to facilitate training, orientation, and competency programs, ultimately enhancing the overall quality of care provided.

Responsibilities

• Meet the educational and developmental needs of nursing staff.
• Facilitate the acquisition and application of clinical knowledge and decision-making skills.
• Coordinate orientation for new employees and oversee preceptor selection, training, and evaluation.
• Develop and present inservice training programs.
• Implement and evaluate competency programs for nursing staff.
• Assess, develop, implement, and evaluate individualized and group education needs and activities.

Requirements

• Kansas Registered Nurse License
• BCLS obtained through the American Heart Association
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
• 2 Years of Position-Related Experience
