About the position

The Nurse Graduate position involves providing direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse. This role is designed for recent nursing graduates who are in the process of completing their licensure requirements. The Nurse Graduate will participate in various nursing activities, assist with patient assessments, and document care provided, all while ensuring adherence to safety and infection control protocols.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Registered Nurse with patient assessments and monitoring vital signs.
• Document patient information in the medical record using the initials 'NG'.
• Provide direct patient care including personal hygiene, positioning, and ambulation.
• Assist with urinary catheterizations and intravenous therapy under supervision.
• Administer medications under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse.
• Perform CPR as needed and follow infection control guidelines.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
• Participate in patient safety initiatives and report any risks or adverse events.

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Current BLS certification required.
• Ability to demonstrate effective verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of growth and development principles across the lifespan.
