Responsibilities

• Plan, provide, and supervise nursing interventions for individuals with cancer.
• Diagnose and treat human responses to health problems through patient care and health counseling.
• Execute medical regimens prescribed by authorized health care providers.
• Supervise Nurse I's, Licensed Practical Nurses, and Clinical Support Assistants.
• Perform administrative tasks related to the assigned area of responsibility.
• Participate in educational programs and workshops for professional growth.

Requirements

• License to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of New York.
• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing with one year of full-time oncology or critical care nursing experience, or two years of full-time medical-surgical experience in an acute care setting.
• Completion of Roswell Park nursing orientation and ability to function independently as a Nurse I for three months.

Nice-to-haves

• Prior experience administering moderate sedation.
• Cardiac monitoring experience.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
• ACLS and PALS certification.
• Oncology and radiology nursing experience.
