About the position
Fast Pace Health is seeking a highly-skilled Nurse (LPN or RN) to join their team on a PRN basis. The role focuses on providing exceptional patient care in a supportive and collaborative environment, aiming to enhance healthcare delivery in rural communities. Responsibilities
- Provide clinical and administrative support essential for effective patient care under the supervision of a Provider, Nurse Practitioner, or Physician Assistant.
- Maintain a compassionate and welcoming atmosphere for patients and respond quickly to changes in their condition.
- Deliver effective customer service for all internal and external customers using excellent communication skills.
- Fulfill responsibilities of the Patient Care Specialist and Scribe as needed.
- Prepare exam and treatment rooms for patient intake and triage patients by checking vitals, performing blood draws, and giving injections.
- Observe patients and chart changes in their conditions, reporting any adverse reactions to medication or treatment.
- Assist with lab testing and phlebotomy, and help providers prepare for minor procedures and physicals.
- Ensure accurate completion of patient charts in a timely manner and arrange referrals to specialists as directed by the Provider.
- Maintain cleanliness of the office and assist with other team members to achieve a professional appearance.
Requirements
- Valid RN or LPN License required.
- At least 1 year of experience as an LPN/RN preferred in a clinic setting, preferably urgent care.
- High School Diploma or its equivalent.
