About the position
The Nurse (LPN/RN) position at Pinehurst Medical Clinic involves providing skilled nursing services to patients under the direction of healthcare professionals. The role focuses on patient-centered care, utilizing advanced medical technology to ensure high-quality service. Nurses will collaborate with a healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans, monitor patient progress, and maintain a safe therapeutic environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide skilled nursing services to patients under the direction of a physician, Nurse Practitioner, or Physician Assistant.
- Collect and analyze patient health data to determine diagnoses and expected outcomes.
- Develop and implement nursing plans of care for patients.
- Communicate the plan of care to patients, including test results and treatment instructions.
- Obtain, review, and complete healthcare forms related to patient needs.
- Help maintain patient flow and workflow in the clinic.
- Collaborate with clinic staff to provide high-quality service to patients.
- Recognize patient rights and maintain confidentiality of patient information.
- Participate in medical staff meetings and quality improvement initiatives.
- Observe patients and report changes in their conditions.
- Measure and record patients' vital signs and practice safety and infection control methods.
- Assist physicians with examinations and procedures as necessary.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of patient areas and working spaces.
- Monitor and restock supplies and medications as necessary.
Requirements
- Licensed as a Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse in the State of North Carolina.
- Required BLS/CPR certification.
- ACLS/PALS certification required in specialty areas as determined by accrediting bodies.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience working with an EMR system preferred.
- Two years of clinical/ambulatory nursing experience preferred.
