About the position

The Nurse (LPN/RN) position at Pinehurst Medical Clinic involves providing skilled nursing services to patients under the direction of healthcare professionals. Nurses will collaborate with a healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans, monitor patient progress, and maintain a safe therapeutic environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide skilled nursing services to patients under the direction of a physician, Nurse Practitioner, or Physician Assistant.
  • Collect and analyze patient health data to determine diagnoses and expected outcomes.
  • Develop and implement nursing plans of care for patients.
  • Communicate the plan of care to patients, including test results and treatment instructions.
  • Obtain, review, and complete healthcare forms related to patient needs.
  • Help maintain patient flow and workflow in the clinic.
  • Collaborate with clinic staff to provide high-quality service to patients.
  • Recognize patient rights and maintain confidentiality of patient information.
  • Participate in medical staff meetings and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Observe patients and report changes in their conditions.
  • Measure and record patients' vital signs and practice safety and infection control methods.
  • Assist physicians with examinations and procedures as necessary.
  • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of patient areas and working spaces.
  • Monitor and restock supplies and medications as necessary.

Requirements

  • Licensed as a Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse in the State of North Carolina.
  • Required BLS/CPR certification.
  • ACLS/PALS certification required in specialty areas as determined by accrediting bodies.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience working with an EMR system preferred.
  • Two years of clinical/ambulatory nursing experience preferred.
