About the position

As a Nurse (LPN/RN) at Sunrise Senior Living, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care to our residents. Your primary responsibility will be the administration of medications and ensuring accurate documentation of medication administration. You will provide resident care while embodying the mission of Sunrise Senior Living, which is to champion the quality of life for all seniors. This role requires adherence to federal, state, and local standards, as well as compliance with Sunrise Senior Living policies. You will be expected to promote the highest degree of quality care and services to our residents, ensuring their comfort and well-being at all times. In this position, you will work closely with a team of dedicated professionals to create a supportive and nurturing environment for our residents. You will be responsible for assessing residents' needs, developing care plans, and implementing appropriate interventions. Your ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members will be essential in fostering a positive atmosphere. You will also be required to handle multiple priorities and remain calm in challenging situations, demonstrating good judgment and problem-solving skills. This role offers flexibility, with opportunities for part-time, full-time, or PRN schedules. You will have the chance to work various shifts, including day, night, and overnight shifts, as well as weekends and holidays as needed. Your commitment to providing compassionate care will make a significant impact on the lives of our residents and their families.

Responsibilities

  • Administration of medications

  • Promote the highest degree of quality care and services to residents in accordance with Sunrise Senior Living policies

Requirements

  • L.P.N, LVN or state specific licensed nurse credential
  • Must maintain certifications where appropriate
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Previous experience working with seniors preferred
  • Desire to serve and care for seniors
  • Ability to make choices, decisions and act in the resident's best interest
  • Ability to react and remain calm in difficult situations
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities
  • Possess written and verbal skills for effective communication
  • Demonstrates good judgment, problem solving and decision making skills
  • Minimum of six (6) months experience working with seniors in assisted living, home health, independent living, hospital or long term care environment

Nice-to-haves

  • BLS Certification (Preferred)
