About The Position

The Nurse Manager - Gastroenterology Clinic/Ambulatory Surgery Center at Mayo Clinic is responsible for overseeing the operational, fiscal, and personnel activities within the ambulatory and procedural settings. This role involves planning, directing, and evaluating nursing practices to ensure high-quality patient care while promoting staff development and collaboration across healthcare disciplines. Requirements

• Graduate of a baccalaureate nursing program; master's preferred.
• Minimum of three years of nursing practice or progressive leadership experience required.
• One year of RN experience in an applicable care setting or one year of LPN experience at Mayo Clinic preferred.
• Demonstrated leadership ability and management experience preferred.
• Current state RN license or acceptable license by the State Board of Nursing.
• Maintains Basic Life Support (BLS) competency, ACLS, and PALS certifications.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in the department's specialty preferred.
• Graduate of an ACEN or CCNE accredited Master's in Nursing or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) program.

Responsibilities

• Accountable for the implementation of the vision, mission, and values of Mayo Clinic and the Department of Nursing.
• Plan, direct, coordinate, and evaluate operational, fiscal, and personnel activities in ambulatory and procedural settings.
• Contribute to the strategic planning process and attainment of organizational goals.
• Manage multiple ambulatory/procedural clinical areas and oversee clinical nursing staff.
• Responsible for the nursing component of the total budget and advocate for resource allocation.
• Facilitate collaboration between nursing personnel and other healthcare disciplines.
• Promote ongoing development of all staff and maintain a professional environment.
