About the position
The Nurse Manager Mother Baby at HCA Florida Trinity Hospital is responsible for providing leadership and ensuring high-quality, efficient care in the OB Department. This role involves overseeing nursing practices, collaborating with healthcare teams, and implementing programs to improve patient care and safety. The position requires a commitment to patient-centered care and the ability to manage a team effectively.
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and take responsibility for the delivery of safe, quality patient care for assigned departments on a 24-hour basis.
- Ensure the department's standard of nursing practice, policies, and procedures meet legal and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure continuity of care through an interdisciplinary team approach to patient care.
- Collaborate and share pertinent patient information with physicians, patients, and other healthcare team members regarding patient progress and treatment.
- Develop and implement ongoing programs to measure, monitor, assess, and improve the quality of nursing care delivered to patients.
- Ensure effective coordination of patient care with other services and departments throughout the hospital.
Requirements
- Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse in accordance with state regulations.
- Nursing diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred.
- American Heart Association BLS, ACLS, and NRP within 6 months of hire or transfer.
- Previous experience in an acute care setting strongly preferred.
- Critical thinking, service excellence, and good interpersonal skills.
- Ability to read/comprehend written instructions and follow verbal instructions.
- PC skills.
