About the position

The Nurse Manager Progressive Care at HCA Florida Trinity Hospital is responsible for providing leadership and expertise to ensure high-quality, efficient patient care in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) environment. This role involves overseeing nursing practices, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory standards, and fostering collaboration among healthcare team members to enhance patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and take responsibility for the delivery of safe, quality patient care for assigned departments on a 24-hour basis.
• Ensure department's standard of nursing practice, nursing policies, and procedures meet legal and regulatory agency requirements.
• Ensure continuity of care through an interdisciplinary team approach to patient care.
• Collaborate and share pertinent patient information with physicians, patients, and other healthcare team members regarding patient progress and treatment.
• Develop and implement ongoing programs to measure, monitor, assess, and improve the quality of nursing care delivered to patients.
• Ensure effective coordination of patient care with other services and departments throughout the hospital.

Requirements

• Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse in accordance with state regulations.
• Nursing diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred.
• American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certification within 6 months of hire or transfer.
• Previous experience in an acute care setting strongly preferred.
• Critical thinking, service excellence, and good interpersonal skills are essential.
• Ability to read/comprehend written instructions and follow verbal instructions.
• PC skills are required.
