About the position

The Nurse Manager for Resource and Recruitment at the Lebanon VA Medical Center is responsible for overseeing the 24/7 operations of the nursing units, ensuring high-quality patient care, and leading a team of nursing staff. This role involves training, development, and performance evaluation of staff, while also collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to enhance care outcomes. The Nurse Manager promotes a culture of accountability and inclusivity, aligning nursing objectives with organizational goals and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the 24/7 operations of assigned nursing units.
  • Provide direction and supervision for staff orientation, training, and development.
  • Evaluate individual staff performance and provide feedback.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient care outcomes.
  • Engage in professional organizations to promote leadership and career growth.
  • Ensure compliance with accreditation and regulatory standards.
  • Promote a culture of accountability and high-quality care.
  • Participate in strategy planning and execution aligned with organizational objectives.

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • Current, full, active, and unrestricted registration as a graduate professional nurse in a state, territory, or commonwealth of the U.S.
  • Graduation from a school of professional nursing approved by the appropriate accrediting agency.
  • Proficiency in basic written and spoken English.
  • Management experience is preferred.
