About the position

The Nurse Manager (RN) for the Emergency Department at Ottumwa Regional Health Center is responsible for providing clinical and administrative leadership within the department. This role involves implementing the organization's vision, mission, and standards while ensuring quality patient care. The Nurse Manager will oversee staffing, training, and development, and will act as the department leader in the absence of the Director of EMS Services.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical and administrative leadership within the Emergency Department.
• Implement the vision, mission, plans, and standards of the organization and nursing services.
• Assume leadership role in the absence of the Director of EMS Services.
• Plan, organize, and administer clinical services including staffing and training.
• Maintain quality patient care standards and advise medical staff and department heads.

Requirements

• Minimum of a baccalaureate degree in nursing or actively enrolled in a baccalaureate program with completion within one year of hire.
• 5 years' experience in related clinical practice with 1 year in a clinical leadership role preferred.
• Current Iowa Registered Nurse license.
• Knowledgeable in the care and handling of patient populations served.
• Demonstrates ability in planning for the provision of care.
