About the position

The Nurse Manager (RN) will lead the Immediate Care Clinic (ICC) at National Jewish Health, focusing on patient safety, operational efficiency, and collaboration with various hospital partners. This role requires a leader with critical care training who can manage daily clinical operations, ensure compliance with hospital policies, and enhance patient satisfaction through effective staffing and resource management.

Responsibilities

  • Manage daily clinical operations and administrative functions of the Immediate Care Clinic.
  • Provide leadership and direction in planning, change, and conflict management.
  • Collaborate with physicians and clinical leaders to ensure safe, quality healthcare.
  • Recruit, interview, select, hire, train, and mentor nursing staff.
  • Establish and monitor staff safety and regulatory compliance.
  • Evaluate the quality and effectiveness of clinical practice and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Lead and mentor the nursing team in assessing patient conditions and providing education.
  • Manage revenues and expenses, and develop annual budgets in collaboration with leadership.
  • Participate in quality improvement projects to enhance patient outcomes.
  • Represent the nursing department on committees and with external organizations.

Requirements

  • BSN required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of recent nursing experience with at least 1 year in a leadership role.
  • Current Colorado RN license required.
  • Active CPR/BLS certification required; ACLS or PALS certification as applicable.

  • Experience in urgent care or emergency department settings.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage conflict effectively.
