About the position

The Nurse Manager (RN) at Beauterre Recovery Institute is responsible for overseeing nursing personnel and coordinating patient care in a behavioral health and addiction recovery setting. This role involves managing medication orders, facilitating health education sessions, and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations. The Nurse Manager will also assist in staff onboarding and training, while providing support to patients on their recovery journey.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to all policies & procedures while performing duties.
• Monitor and assure the facility's compliance with applicable standards, regulations, and laws.
• Supervise all nursing personnel and delegate daily work assignments.
• Ensure nursing services are consistent with overall client care and program policies.
• Maintain clinical competencies of nursing staff, including training and signing off on TMAs.
• Recruit, train, and retain qualified nursing personnel in conjunction with the Program Director and HR.
• Provide on-call availability to shift nursing personnel for questions and emergencies.
• Communicate with the Medical Director and other health professionals to integrate services.
• Enforce facility policies and issue corrective action as needed.
• Make frequent rounds to ensure nursing personnel are performing assignments correctly.
• Review care plans weekly to ensure appropriate care is given.
• Oversee medication disposal.

Requirements

• Must have a MN RN license.
• 2 years of experience in a managerial position.
• Minimum 1 year experience in a chemical dependency facility.
• 2-3 years related experience required, or any combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge, skills, and abilities.
• A minimum of two years continuous freedom from chemical use problems.
