About the position

The Nurse Manager, RN at Madonna Manor is responsible for ensuring high-quality resident care while upholding nursing service objectives and standards. This role involves both clinical and management responsibilities, serving as a resource and role model for nursing staff, and participating in quality assurance and infection control processes. The Nurse Manager plays a crucial role in the delivery of nursing care and the overall management of the nursing unit.

Responsibilities

  • Assure quality resident care while maintaining nursing service objectives and standards.
  • Serve as a resource person in clinical and management settings.
  • Act as a positive clinical role model and effective change agent.
  • Oversee higher-risk resident care activities to minimize infection risks.
  • Participate on the facility's QAA Committee and perform assigned duties.
  • Participate in the annual infection control risk assessment process.
  • Maintain documentation of infection prevention and control program activities.
  • Perform activities related to nursing care needs of residents.
  • Document in accordance with nursing policies and procedures.
  • Maintain effective communication with residents, families, staff, and physicians.
  • Effectively use organizational skills in the delivery of nursing care.
  • Participate in the establishment, implementation, and evaluation of a unit performance improvement program.
  • Satisfy all educational in-service requirements mandated by CHI Living Communities.

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree from an accredited School of Nursing.
  • Current license for Registered Nurse in Kentucky or valid license from a state with reciprocity.
  • Long-term care experience preferred.
  • Currently certified in CPR.
  • One year supervisory experience preferred.
