About the position

Responsibilities
- Support statewide mpox and STI cluster and outbreak preparedness and response efforts.
- Create protocols for case and cluster/outbreak response.
- Coordinate an interdisciplinary team of epidemiologists, clinicians, and disease intervention specialists.
- Provide local health jurisdiction technical assistance.
- Develop strategic plans to address mpox and STI case and cluster/outbreak investigations.
- Support the development and maintenance of mpox and STI clinical guidelines and resources.
Requirements
- Advanced knowledge of clinical and operational issues in infection control, including policies and regulatory requirements.
- Advanced knowledge of data management, analysis, research, reporting, and documentation methods used in infection control.
- Advanced organizational and project management skills, with the ability to lead a team and prioritize tasks.
- Advanced interpersonal skills for developing informational materials and providing education and training.
- Advanced ability to convey complex clinical and technical information effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Advanced ability to collaborate effectively with management and staff across departments.
