About the position

The position is responsible for overall clinic trial management for the Division of Pulmonary Medicine in conjunction with physician investigators. The role involves managing all aspects of clinical trials, including start-up and launch activities, day-to-day management, and study closure activities within established regulations and guidelines. The individual will coordinate nursing within the research framework to ensure patient safety and provide quality care to study patients. This includes working collaboratively with the office of Dayton Children's Clinical Trials (DCCT) in completing study start-up and regulatory activities. The responsibilities also encompass regulatory document attainment and Institutional Review Board submissions, recruitment and enrollment of study participants, conduct or coordination of all study visit procedures, and completion and maintenance of case report forms and all study-related documentation and record keeping. Additionally, the role requires assessment, intervention, monitoring, and evaluation of patients participating in study protocols, which includes sample and specimen collection, coordination of phlebotomy, administration of study medications, monitoring patient response to intervention, and documenting patient encounters under the supervision of the principal investigator.

Responsibilities

  • Manage overall clinic trial management for the Division of Pulmonary Medicine.

Requirements

  • Associates degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
  • Dedication to acquire a Bachelor's of Science in Nursing within 5 years of hire.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a relevant field.
  • RN licensure in the State of Ohio.
  • Current CPR certification.

Nice-to-haves

  • Pediatric experience is preferred.
