Responsibilities
- Identify patient's health status through health histories and physical examinations.
- Initiate screening and diagnostic procedures.
- Manage minor trauma and acute health problems.
- Provide health maintenance and clinical management of stable or chronically ill patients.
- Precept PA and NP students from partnering programs.
Requirements
- Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing and Nurse Practitioner Program, including preceptorship required.
- One to three years of experience preferred.
- Current state Licensed Nurse Practitioner (LNP), DEA license, and Registered Nurse (RN) licensure required.
- AHA BLS-HCP certification required; Advanced Life Support certification preferred.
- Eligible for prescriptive authority in accordance with State regulations.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in Family and Community Medicine.
- Advanced Life Support certification.
