About The Position
Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to join our team at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania (HUP) in Philadelphia, PA. This role is integral to our partnership with Penn Medicine, where we provide high-quality newborn care and neonatal intensive care to infants. As a Nurse Practitioner, you will work alongside board-certified Neonatologists, Physician Assistants, and other clinical staff to deliver exceptional care to newborns, particularly those who are premature or have health complications requiring additional treatment or observation. In this position, you will assess complex acute, critical, and chronically ill patients for urgent and emergent conditions, utilizing relevant data to evaluate physiologic instability and formulate a comprehensive plan of care. You will perform therapeutic interventions to stabilize health problems, manage the plan of care through evaluation and documentation, and facilitate patient transitions between healthcare settings. Your role will also involve serving as an educational resource for patients, families, and the healthcare team, while participating in scholarly activities, research, and the professional development of others.
