About the position
The Nurse Practitioner (NP) at the Migraine Center plays a crucial role in the Headache division, primarily functioning as an independent billing provider. This position involves conducting new patient intake visits, follow-up appointments, and performing various procedures such as PREEMPT Botox, nerve blocks, and lumbar punctures. The NP will work closely with RN and administrative support to provide comprehensive care to patients.
Responsibilities
- Conduct new patient intake office visits.
- Perform follow-up visits for existing patients.
- Manage hospital discharges and ad hoc procedures.
- Administer treatments such as PREEMPT Botox and nerve blocks.
- Collaborate with RN and administrative staff to ensure efficient clinic operations.
Requirements
- 1-3 years of NP experience in an inpatient or ambulatory setting.
- 2 years of NP experience in neurology.
- Current national certification from an accepted certifying agency.
- Active RN and NP licenses in California.
- Completion of a BRN recognized graduate master's degree program as a nurse practitioner.
- Active and/or transferable DEA license to California.
Nice-to-haves
- EPIC EMR experience.
- Neuroscience RN Certification (CNRN).
- Membership in professional organizations.
