About the position

The Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant position at the Mercy Virtual Care Center in St. Louis, MO, is an exciting opportunity for healthcare professionals looking to make a significant impact in patient care. The Mercy Virtual Care Center is powered by a dedicated team of Physicians, Advanced Practitioners, and support staff, all focused on delivering exceptional patient care. The ideal candidate will have previous acute care experience, which is preferred but not mandatory. This position operates on-site at the Mercy Virtual Care Center, where you will work part-time, totaling 24 hours per week. The schedule consists of two 12-hour shifts each week, with start times available at 6:30 AM, 7:00 AM, or 10:00 AM. Additionally, there is a weekend requirement, where you will be expected to work one-third of the weekends, equating to two full weekends in a six-week schedule. In this role, you will collaborate closely with ER physicians and registered nurses to provide comprehensive patient care, utilizing the system-wide Epic EMR for efficient documentation and communication. Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Previous acute care experience preferred.
  • Current certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
