Geisinger is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join the Department of Emergency Medicine at Geisinger St. Luke's in Orwigsburg, PA. Responsibilities
- Provide care in the Emergency Department under the supervision of a physician.
- Work autonomously with limited administrative burden.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care.
- Participate in academic opportunities via advanced practice preceptorship.
- Utilize Geisinger's resources and specialists to enhance patient care.
Requirements
- Completion of an ARC-PA approved physician assistant program or an approved program for Nurse Practitioners.
- Current NCCPA certification or eligibility for Physician Assistants.
- Eligibility for licensure as a Nurse Practitioner in Pennsylvania.
- Bachelor's Degree in Physician Assistant (Required); Master's Degree in Physician Assistant (Preferred).
- Basic Life Support Certification.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in Emergency Medicine or similar settings.
- Familiarity with Epic EHR system.
