About the position
Geisinger is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join the Family Medicine team at the Buckhorn Office Building clinic in Bloomsburg, PA. This role involves providing comprehensive care to patients of all ages, with a focus on elderly patients. The position offers a supportive environment with access to various healthcare professionals and resources to enhance patient care.
Responsibilities
- Conduct forty-minute appointments for elderly patients.
- Participate in daily huddles with care team members to review patient information and care coordination.
- Collaborate with pharmacists for patient education and medication management.
- Utilize eVisits, patient portals, and urgent care clinics to increase access to care.
Requirements
- Master's Degree in Physician Assistant or equivalent experience.
- Current NCCPA certification or eligibility for Physician Assistants.
- Eligibility for licensure as a Nurse Practitioner in Pennsylvania.
- Basic Life Support Certification.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in treating a wide age range from pediatric to geriatric patients.
- Teaching experience or interest in advanced practice preceptorship.
