About the position
Geisinger is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join the Primary Care team at the Medical Clinic Buckhorn in Bloomsburg, PA. Responsibilities
- Provide care to patients of all ages, from pediatric to geriatric populations.
- Conduct 20-minute and 40-minute appointments, particularly for elderly patients.
- Participate in daily huddles with care team members to coordinate care.
- Collaborate with pharmacists for patient education and medication management.
- Work with care managers and clinic health associates to enhance patient care.
- Utilize Epic EMR for patient management and documentation.
- Assist with on-call workload through a dedicated nurse call center.
Requirements
- Master's Degree in Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program.
- Current NCCPA certification or eligibility for Physician Assistants.
- Eligibility for licensure as a Nurse Practitioner in Pennsylvania.
- Basic Life Support Certification.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in a primary care setting.
- Familiarity with eVisits and patient portals.
- Teaching or precepting experience.
