About the position

The position is for a full-time Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) in the Urgent Care department, responsible for providing clinical care across multiple locations. The role involves assessing, diagnosing, and managing patient treatment plans, while collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient care. The APRN will also participate in quality initiatives and contribute to the education of new team members.

Responsibilities

  • Assess, diagnose, and determine treatment and management plans appropriate for patients.
  • Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic studies and prescribe interventions and therapies.
  • Manage patient conditions based on clinical indications and evidence-based care.
  • Provide health promotion, disease prevention, and disease management counseling to patients and families.
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team and seek consultations or referrals as necessary.
  • Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record.
  • Participate in quality, safety, and peer review initiatives and departmental meetings.
  • Educate and onboard new team members and other healthcare professionals.
  • Maintain standards of productivity and quality metrics for patient care delivery.

Requirements

  • Active RN and APRN/APRN-FPA/APNP license in state(s) of practice.
  • Active national board certification in area of clinical practice and populations served.
  • Active DEA registration prior to hire.
  • Active Illinois Controlled Substance License prior to hire (if applicable).
  • Active BLS and/or ACLS, PALS, NRP as required by clinical practice prior to or within 6 months of hire.
  • Master's Degree in Nursing.
