Geisinger ConvenientCare is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join their team in Mt. Carmel, PA. This role involves diagnosing and treating common medical problems in an urgent care setting, with a focus on providing high-quality patient care while working autonomously. Responsibilities

• Diagnose and treat common medical problems including sore throats, earaches, sinus infections, flu, and urinary tract infections.
• Conduct routine health exams, immunizations, screenings, and wellness services.
• Work autonomously with limited administrative burden.
• Collaborate with physicians and support staff to provide patient care.
• Participate in continuing medical education and professional development opportunities.

Requirements

• Master's Degree in Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program.
• Minimum six months of experience in Primary Care, Emergency Medicine, Urgent Care, or Critical Care.
• Current NCCPA certification or eligibility for Physician Assistants.
• Eligibility for licensure as a Nurse Practitioner in Pennsylvania.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in teaching or precepting advanced practice students.
• Familiarity with Epic EMR system.
