About the position

The Independent Nurse Practitioner or Independent Physician Assistant at MedExpress will provide urgent care services, working collaboratively with a full licensed medical team and support staff. This role emphasizes flexible scheduling and the opportunity for professional growth within a supportive environment, aiming to transform non-emergency care accessibility for patients.

Responsibilities

• Suturing
• Splinting
• Initial interpretation with digital X-Rays
• Incisions and drainage

Requirements

• Master's degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant program
• Certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner through the ANCC/AANP or certified as a Physician Assistant through the NCCPA
• CPR certified or willing to obtain prior to start date
• DOT certification or ability to obtain within the first 60 days of employment
• Clinical experience working in at least one of the following: 2+ years in Family Medicine, 1.5+ years in Urgent Care, 1+ years in Emergency Medicine
• Experience treating patients across multiple age groups
• Experience suturing, splinting, and reading x-rays within the last year
• Willing and able to assist at other center locations in the area
