About the position

The Hawai‘i Pacific Health Medical Group is a prominent healthcare provider in the state, comprising over 700 employed physicians and advanced practice providers. Our organization operates four medical centers—Kapi‘olani, Pali Momi, Straub, and Wilcox—along with more than 50 clinic locations statewide. The Orthopedics Department is equipped to manage a wide array of injuries, including sprains, fractures, sports injuries, and specialized conditions such as arthritis and congenital disorders. Our multi-disciplinary team consists of fellowship-trained orthopedic physicians, rheumatologists, physical therapists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals who specialize in treating both children and adults. In the role of Nurse Practitioner, you will be an integral part of our professional physician team, gaining invaluable experience while performing various patient care activities related to the diagnosis and treatment of ill and injured patients within the Orthopedics Department. We seek a motivated and driven individual with exceptional patient care and communication skills, the ability to work effectively with minimal supervision, and a strong commitment to providing the highest quality healthcare to the people of Hawai‘i.

Responsibilities

  • Perform patient assessments and evaluations in the Orthopedics Department.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans for patients with orthopedic conditions.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare providers to ensure coordinated care.
  • Educate patients and their families about orthopedic conditions and treatment options.
  • Document patient care activities and maintain accurate medical records.
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.

Requirements

  • Current Hawai‘i Registered Nurse License.
  • Current Hawai‘i Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) license.
  • Current American Heart Association Health Care Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR card.
  • Two (2) years nursing experience in a related field.

Nice-to-haves

  • At least two (2) years' experience as a Nurse Practitioner in Orthopedics.
