About the position
The Nurse Practitioner (NP) will provide per diem support at a worksite-based health center, acting as the sole provider. This role focuses on delivering primary care treatment, episodic care, and chronic condition management while collaborating with onsite employees to promote health and wellness education.
Responsibilities
- Provide Primary Care treatment in an Employer-based setting
- Deliver episodic care for low acuity urgent care
- Manage extended episodic acute care with follow-up visits for limited chronic conditions
- Educate and co-manage chronic conditions with outside primary care providers
- Oversee and perform CLIA waived tests, dispense Rx medications, and manage specimen collection
- Collaborate with onsite employees for biometric screening and health education
- Provide health coaching and refer patients to wellness programs
- Work effectively with healthcare team members (MA, LPN)
- Partner with local HR/Benefits team to enhance employee health
Requirements
- Graduate of a Certified Nurse Practitioner program
- Active and unrestricted NP license in Washington DC
- Preferred: Active and unrestricted NP license in Virginia or ability to obtain
- Minimum of 3 years NP experience in an internal medicine or family practice setting
- Ability to practice independently in respective state
- DEA licensure and prescriptive authority
- Experience with Electronic Health Records
- BLS certification
- Ability to work clinic hours: Monday - Thursday 7:30 am - 3:30 pm
