The HSS Orthopedics Now program is designed to provide immediate access for patients aged 12 years and older who present with undiagnosed musculoskeletal injuries or sudden onset of pain. As a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) at HSS Paramus, you will play a crucial role in triaging, diagnosing, and treating these patients, ensuring they receive the appropriate level of care in a timely manner. This position allows you to work independently while collaborating with HSS physicians, providing a full range of primary, acute, and specialty healthcare services. You will be responsible for diagnosing and treating a variety of acute musculoskeletal injuries, including but not limited to bone, joint, or muscle injuries, strains, sprains, minor dislocations, and closed fractures. Additionally, you will manage conditions such as painful, swollen joints, back and neck pain, osteoarthritis, and sports injuries, as well as perform procedures like steroid injections, joint aspirations, and general bracing and splinting.
