About the position
Geisinger's Neuroscience Institute is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant specializing in neurology to join their team at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center in Wilkes-Barre, PA. This full-time position focuses on providing high-quality care to patients across various age groups, emphasizing optimal outcomes through innovative management pathways.
Responsibilities
- Provide care to patients in the neurology department.
- Collaborate with the neurology team to develop management pathways for optimal patient outcomes.
- Ensure compliance with state and national certification requirements for Nurse Practitioners or Physician Assistants.
- Participate in educational programs and continuous learning opportunities.
Requirements
- Master's Degree in Physician Assistant studies or equivalent for Nurse Practitioners.
- Certification as a Physician Assistant by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
- Basic Life Support Certification.
- Eligibility or certification by the Pennsylvania State Board of Medicine for Physician Assistants or the State Board of Nursing for Nurse Practitioners.
- Ability to work with all patient population age groups.
