About the position
The Nurse Practitioner (PRN) role at AC Wellness focuses on delivering compassionate and effective healthcare to the Apple employee population through a new virtual care model. This position involves providing acute and chronic disease care, as well as preventative consultations, leveraging technology to enhance patient care and experience. The role requires flexibility in scheduling, with shifts available from 6 AM to 8 PM PST, including weekends and holidays.
Responsibilities
- Provide acute and chronic disease care and preventative health consultations.
- Document effectively in the medical record for each patient, including diagnoses, treatment provided, and treatment plans.
- Collaborate with team members virtually using collaboration tools.
- Evaluate and treat patients with acute and chronic complaints.
- Obtain appropriate patient histories and perform focused physical exams via photos and video.
- Request and evaluate diagnostic studies as indicated upon patient evaluation.
- Order and prescribe medications and laboratory tests.
- Act as a patient advocate and assist patients in finding appropriate care.
- Engage with patients through chat and video telemedicine modalities.
- Comply with AC Wellness Medical Group policies and procedures.
Requirements
- 3 years of Primary Care and/or Acute Care experience required.
- Board Certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP), Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner (AGPC-NP), or Emergency Nurse Practitioner (ENP).
- Current Certification in AHA or ARC Basic Life Support for healthcare providers is required.
- Current DEA and California license.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work well within a team.
- Superior verbal and written communication skills.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with telemedicine and virtual care delivery.
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR).
- Ability to adapt to non-traditional practice models.
