About the position
The primary role of this position is to provide medical and educational services to patients under the supervision of a licensed physician, adhering to Nurse Practitioner Protocol and within the scope of the license. The position requires collaboration with healthcare providers, co-workers, and the public to foster a supportive and effective care environment. The candidate will handle a variety of cases typical in an urgent care setting, delivering pediatric care to patients and their families, ensuring that all patient interactions are managed with care, empathy, and professionalism.
Responsibilities
- Provide medical and educational services to patients under the supervision of a licensed physician.
- Work cooperatively with healthcare providers, co-workers, and the public.
- Handle a variety of cases typical in an urgent care setting, delivering pediatric care.
- Ensure all patient interactions are handled with care, empathy, and professionalism.
Requirements
- Master's or Doctorate degree from an accredited nursing program.
- Active RN and PNP licensure in AL and board certification as a NP in Pediatric Acute Care, Pediatric Primary Care, or Family Care.
- Minimum of 2 years providing care as a nurse practitioner.
- Strong acute care clinical background preferred.
- Comfortable with technology, including EMR and Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, etc.).
- Excellent relationship-building skills and the ability to communicate effectively with medical partners, patients, and families.
